As a coach I have supported clients from the LGBTQIA+ community who were so taken aback by hate comments that they started to believe there was something wrong with them, negatively affecting their lives.

And even if its not hate speech but underlying, silent, unvoiced discrimination, people are affected. Hatred is like a balloon: hollow and empty, and not based on facts or information. And a big balloon can be very impressive yet popped just like that!

Hate speech and hateful discriminatory behavior distorts people’s thoughts, and challenges their beliefs, leading to negative thoughts beliefs and actions, anxiety and even depression..

As a coach i am here to stop this viscious cycle of negativity and exactly use the power of words to empower people, make them aware of their thoughts, help them reframe these, see their strengths, build their belief in themselves, and empower them to pinch these silly balloons of hatred!
